Prof. Jong-Bang Eun

Dr_Jong-Bang-Eun_editorProf. Jong-Bang Eun is a Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, Republic of Korea. Eun received his PhD in Food Science and Technology with Biochemistry Minor from Mississippi State University in1991. Dr. Eun’s research program focuses on food processing and preservation, the effect of functional ingredients/nutraceuticals and new product development in food. Dr. Eun has published more than  200  original scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals presented more than 450 abstracts at the conferences and symposiums. He has also published 1 book and 5 book chapters.  Dr. Eun has been president of the Korea Tea Society in 2014-2015, President of Korean society of Food Preservation Society in 2018 and Vice President of Korean Society of Food Science and Technology in 2018. Dr. Eun has been the  Editor of  Food Science and Biotechnology and has served on the Editorial Boards of the American Journal of Food Technology, Journal of Food Agriculture and Environment. He is also Editor of the Korean Journal of Food Preservation and current research in Nutrition and Food Science. He has been directly interviewed by numerous media and scientific organization about his research including the KBS, MBC and Gwangju Times. He has been the Director of Functional   Food   Research Center of Chonnam NationalUniversity and Team Leader of Green Food and Ingredient Research Team.
